Throw- and- Go

Hey fashion lovers,

Dresses are great because they are so effortlessly chic. Even the days I don't feel like getting dolled up, just throwing on a simple dress, I still look put together with no effort involved. Plus this dress I got from ROSS is so comfortable!

If you plan on wearing heels all day, opt for a block heel. Its easier to walk in and more comfortable.

Hey fashion lovers,

Its going to be very clear after many outfit post, that my closet only consist of black, gray and occasionally brown. Summer= all black, spring= all black, winter= all black, fall= all black. The seasons may change but my wardrobe color doesn't.

Black|White

Black & White... and a little height

Hey fashion lovers!

I've recently been on a hunt for a long, silk like, vest. And I FINALLY FOUND ONE, kind of... I bought this dress from H&M, size 12, and I just unbuttoned the buttons going down the front and made it a vest. I prefer my clothing to fit loose so this vest, dress was just perfect.

 Outfit details:
Vest: H&M $10
Dress: Topshop $25
Shoes: Nordstrom Rack $40

#ThrowbackThursday

Hey fashion lovers!

Back in April, SIU *the school I just graduated from*, presented us with the opportunity to attend the last few days of Nashville fashion week. Of course I had took the opportunity to go along with a couple friends.

As soon as we arrived we made a stop at Omega Apparel, an apparel manufacturing company solely based in the USA.

That night we attended a cocktail reception followed by the last RTW runway show of the week. It was my first time attending a professional fashion show!

The next morning, we attended two educational panels held at the City Winery in Nashville, TN.

The rest of that day we spent shopping and out to eat. The overall trip was great because it gave me a chance to travel. It made me realize how much I love fashion and what a great feeling it was to be surrounded by people who had that same passion. Hopefully in the future I get a chance to go to New York fashion week! *starts day dreaming*

Key Benefits of Layering

Hey fashion lovers!

It is Friday yet again. This week I started my last semester in college. I will finally be a graduate in May of this year. I am excited yet so nervous. I plan taking some time off of school to work on my career. In a year on so I plan on going to graduate school for a masters in marketing. Until then my main focus is FASHION. Let the outfits continue with #fashionfriday. Fashion tip down below!

This outfit was pretty warm for the day but my hands were FREEZING.

Fashion tip: Layers are your friend during winter time. You don't have to sacrifice warmth for style. Underneath those tights I had thick leggings on, two pairs of socks on and that knit sweater wasn't just for style.

Outfit details:
Jacket: Marshalls $20
Knit Sweater: H&M $10 (sale)
Midi Dress: Marshalls
Tights: Target
Boots: Forever21

Geo Chic

Hey fashion lovers!

We are a couple weeks into January which means its pretty cold out there, at least in Illinois. This is usually around the time when we start to put on those sweats and hoodies and stop caring about our appearance. Put down those UGGS and swap them for some fashionable boots. When I took this photo it was about 30 degrees out and I have to say the only part that was cold were my hands. Utilize those thick fabrics in the winter.

Fashion tip: If you plan on wearing leggings as pants find a shirt that falls past your crotch and backside area. Sometimes those leggings can be a little see through & I don't want to be the one to see your underwear. Use this tip and we can prevent those fashion flops.

Outfit details:
Chunky knit sweater: ROSS $8.49
Black turtle neck: H&M $7.00
Black leggings
Knee length boots: Marshalls $? (they were a gift)
Red hat: H&M $12.99
Statement necklace: Forever21 $14.99

#NoMakeupMonday

Hey fashion lovers!

Today in honor of #nomakeupmonday here is a picture of me with no makeup. I have struggled with acne since I was 12. I still struggle with it but for the most part it is under control. The sad part is after all those years with acne, left annoying scars on my face.

*If any one has any advice for getting rid of them, please comment below*

I have tried almost every product and pill for acne its crazy. Products that I use on my face now are Biore acne clearing scrub, Biore pore unclogging scrub, and Black and White black soap. I'm in search of a new moisturizer though.
Products I LOVE

If I have learned anything from having acne is DRINK LOTS OF WATER and make sure to take great care of your skin. Washing it every morning and night is super important. If you wear makeup test different brands. For me BareMinerals and Tarte cosmetics doesn't break me out and gives great coverage. Plus don't forget to clean those makeup brushes! I find myself breaking out if I don't wash my brushes at least once or twice a week. And guys seriously don't forget DRINK LOTS OF WATER!

Happy #NoMakeupMonday!

New Year. New Fashion.

Hey fashion lovers!

It has been a while, huh? Life has been busy but I'm back & ready to take on 2016! Wow, its 2016 already? Time really flies but with a new year comes new fashion trends. Having trendy pieces in your closet is just as important as classic pieces. But after holiday season your wallet may not agree on a shopping spree, if you even have energy to do anymore shopping.

There is nothing more I love than a good hand bag. Since we are only about a week into the year you haven't gotten around to updating that wardrobe of yours. A simple handbag is great for any year and any season. Weather you are short or tall you have to have a nice purse.

Simplicity

Purses like these are good for the beginning of the year when you haven't gotten around to updating your wardrobe. If you don't have anything similar these are all affordable choices that you can wear all year round. If you have anything similar to these styles don't worry about reworking that closet just yet, just use your simple pieces for a while.
